Two overtime periods weren't enough time to provide a winner as Ohio Wesleyan and Denison battled to a scoreless tie in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday in Granville.

Denison enjoyed a 6-2 edge in shots during the first half, but freshman Laura VanHoey (Rochester, Mich.) recorded 3 saves to keep the Big Red off the scoreboard.

During the second half, it was Ohio Wesleyan with the edge in shots by a margin of 5-3, but Denison keeper Liz Gillette had 2 saves to keep the game deadlocked.

Both teams had one shot during the first overtime period, with VanHoey and Gillette each keeping the game alive with a save, and Denison had 2 shots during the second overtime.

Denison outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 12-8. VanHoey finished with 5 saves, while Gillette ended up with 4 saves in the Denison goal.
