at Washington Invitational

Sophomore Kendra Klossner (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) and freshman Brenna Irrer (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) turned in Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finishes to lead the Bishops during the first day of the Washington Invitational on Saturday in St. Louis.

Lindenwood was leading the meet with 753 points to 565 for host Washington. Sewanee was in third place with 414 points and Ohio Wesleyan had 408 points.
Saturday results

Klossner finished third in the 100 backstroke, fourth in the 200 IM and fifth in the 200 freestyle, while Irrer placed third in the 200 breaststroke and eighth in the 100 butterfly.

Other standouts for the Bishops included junior Katie Keleshian (Richmond Heights/Regina), who was fourth in the 200 backstroke and sixth in the 100 backstroke; senior Kara Roby (Massillon/Washington), who finished fourth in the 200 freestyle and sixth in the 500 freestyle; senior Rachel Ryan (Kinnelon, N.J.), who placed fifth in the 100 freestyle and seventh in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly; junior Katie Germano (Towaco, N.J./Montville Township), who placed fifth in the 200 butterfly; freshman Marisa Obuchowski (Baltimore, Md./Pikesville), who finished eighth in the 200 backstroke; freshman Stacey Tighe (Lewis Center/Olentangy), who was ninth in the 100 breaststroke; junior Caitlin Hagen (East Lyme, Conn.), who finished 10th in the 100 backstroke; and junior Meghan Warren (Marlton, N.J./Shawnee), who placed 10th in the 200 IM.

The Ohio Wesleyan 400 freestyle relay team of Klossner, Keleshian, Roby and Ryan finished third, while the 400 medley relay team of Keleshian, Irrer, Ryan and Klossner placed fourth.
