Two Bishops Picked to All-NCAC
Women's Tennis Teams

[ Katie Figgie ]Two Ohio Wesleyan University women’s tennis players were named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference teams, it was announced today.

Senior Katie Figgie (Pepper Pike/Gilmour Academy) and senior Kristen Carney (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer) were All-NCAC selections.

Figgie was a second-team All-NCAC choice in singles. Playing at the No. 1 singles spot, she compiled a record of 8-8, including a 3-4 mark against NCAC opponents. Figgie was an honorable mention All-NCAC selection in singles in 2006 and a second-team pick in 2007, and received second-team All-NCAC honors in doubles in 2007.

Carney was an honorable mention pick in singles for the second straight season. She was 5-14 overall, including a mark of 4-10 at No. 2 singles.

The Bishops compiled an overall record of 8-11 this season, including a mark of 2-6 against NCAC opponents. Ohio Wesleyan finished fifth in the NCAC championship tournament.
