at Kenyon Invitational

[ Donna Langerfeld ]Senior Donna Langerfeld (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill), sophomore Amy Herrington (Vermilion) and sophomore Emily Washek (Erie, Pa./McDowell) recorded Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finishes to lead the Bishops at the Kenyon Invitational on Friday in Gambier.

The meet, which included competitors from Allegheny, Capital, Denison, Kenyon, Mount Union, Ohio Wesleyan, Otterbein, Rio Grande, Wittenberg, and Wooster, was not scored.

Langerfeld finished fourth in the 5000-meter run, Herrington placed fourth in the shot put and Washek was fourth in the pole vault.

Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Amber Alegria (Tucson, Ariz./Salpointe Catholic), who finished fifth in the 400-meter dash and ninth in the 200-meter dash; freshman Laura Packard (Mount Vernon), who was fifth in the pole vault; freshman Christa Cocumelli (Dublin/Bishop Watterson), who placed sixth in the 55-meter hurdles and eighth in the 400-meter dash; and junior Caitlin Chesnut (Wilmington), who finished 10th in the 800-meter run.
