Senior Ashley Shaffer (Lancaster) recorded Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish and sophomore Casey Ridgeway (Fredericktown) set a school record in leading the Bishops at Kent State Tune-Up meet on Saturday in Kent.

Shaffer finished seventh in the triple jump with an effort of 33-8 1/2.

Ridgeway placed 11th in the 200-meter dash in a time of :26.15, breaking the school record of :26.30 set by Akeya Terrell in 2003. Ridgeway also finished 13th in the 60-meter dash.

Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Lainey Kekic (Canfield/Western Reserve), who tied for 13th in the high jump and placed 20th in the 200-meter dash; sophomore Ashlie Britton (LeRoy/Painesville Riverside), who was 15th in the 60-meter hurdles; junior Jessica Merrill (Columbia Station/Columbia), who placed 16th in the long jump; freshman Kat Zimmerly (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane), who was 17th in the 3000-meter run; junior Laura Binkley (Columbus/Bishop Watterson), who finished 19th in the 3000-meter run; and sophomore Kara Reiter (Chardon), who was 20th in the 400-meter dash.
