Bishops' Browning Named to Academic
All-District Football Teams

Ohio Wesleyan University junior Mike Browning (East Islip, N.Y.) was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV football teams, it was announced today.

Browning was a second-team Academic All-District selection.

Browning, a defensive end for the Battling Bishops, ranks third on the team with 5½ tackles for loss for a net loss of 15 yards. He has compiled a total of 25 tackles this season. Browning is a journalism major with a cumulative grade point average of 3.52.

The ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District teams are selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America, with District 4 consisting of schools in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama. To be considered for the teams, one must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or better and be a starter or important reserve.
