Bishops Picked Fourth, Fifth
in 2008 NCAC Title Chase

DELAWARE, OHIO -- Wittenberg and Wabash were selected as 2008 favorites in the North Coast Athletic Conference championship race by conference coaches and media at the NCAC's 25th annual Football Media Brunch, held today at Oakhaven Golf Club.

Wabash and Wittenberg tied for first place in the media poll, each with 227 points. Wabash received 13 first-place votes while Wittenberg collected 11 first-place votes. In the coaches' poll, Wittenberg edged Wabash by a margin of 97-93, with the Tigers claiming 7 first-place votes to 3 for the Little Giants.

Ohio Wesleyan was forecast to finish fourth by conference media and fifth by the conference coaches.

The 2008 season opens on Saturday, Sept. 6. Ohio Wesleyan opens its season on that day, hosting Carnegie Mellon (Pa.). The Bishops' NCAC opener is on Saturday, Sept. 20, at Wooster.
