Bridgewater 4, Ohio Wesleyan 2

[ Alyse Marotta ]Freshman midfielder Alyse Marotta (Dublin/Jerome) scored to tied the game at 2-2, but Bridgewater answered with a pair of goals and went on to defeat Ohio Wesleyan in non-conference action on Saturday in Bridgewater, Va.

Sophomore attacker Caiti Goodman (Washington, D.C./Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Md.)) staked the Bishops a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal just over 8 minutes into the contest.

The Eagles evened the game when Kalah Hess found Brianna Jacques on a goal midway through the first half, and the score would remain deadlocked through the remainder of the period.

Hess and Jacques connected again just under 9 minutes into the second half to give Bridgewater a 2-1 lead, but the Bishops bounced back with Marotta's goal, which tied the game with 20:34 left in regulation time.

Rachel Keshishian put the Eagles ahead to stay with an unassisted goal with 16:21 remaining, then added an insurance score off Hess's third assist of the day, finishing off the game's scoring with 2:56 to play.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Bridgewater, 18-11. Junior Krista Murray (Rochester Hills, Mich./University Liggett) was credited with 3 saves, while Tyler Waddell had 8 saves for Bridgewater.
