at Oberlin Invitational

[ Andy Schillig ]Senior Andy Schillig (Pataskala/Licking Heights) was leading the field after the first round of the Oberlin Invitational, hosted by Oberlin College on Saturday.

The tournament is the second of 4 events which will determine the 2008-09 North Coast Athletic Conference championship.

Ohio Wesleyan had the lead after the first round with a 287, followed by Wittenberg (305), Allegheny (306), Denison (312), Wabash (314), Wooster (325), Kenyon (331) and Hiram (349).

Schillig fired a first-round 69 to lead all individuals.

Junior Tommy Harman (Perrysburg) was tied for second place with a 71, and senior Jeff Nieman (Maineville/Cincinnati Moeller) was in fourth place with a 72.

Junior Jesse Chiero (Westerville/South) shot a 75 and junior Jordan Benner (Beavercreek) carded an 83.

The tournament's second and final round was scheduled for Sunday.
