[ Sam Striler ]Freshman forward Taylor Kiefer (North Canton/Hoover) scored twice and junior forward Sam Striler (St. Louis, Mo./Country Day) added a goal as Ohio Wesleyan blanked Hiram in North Coast Athletic Conference competition on Saturday in Hiram.

Kiefer put the Bishops on the scoreboard with an unassisted goal just over 5 minutes into the action.

Ohio Wesleyan had the edge in play during the first half, outshooting the Terriers by a margin of 13-1 during the period, but the Bishops were not able to further capitalize on that advantage until Striler scored with 2:15 left in the half for his first goal in an Ohio Wesleyan uniform.

Kiefer concluded the day's scoring by converting a penalty kick with exactly 31 minutes left in regulation time.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Hiram, 19-5. Junior Richard Ott (Norwalk) finished with 2 saves for the Bishops, while Nate Rausch had 13 saves for the Terriers.
