![]() Wooster 164, Ohio Wesleyan 67 Jan. 10, 2009 The meet was originally scheduled to be a dual meet at Ohio Wesleyan's Pfeiffer Natatorium, but unsafe travel conditions kept the Fighting Scots from leaving their campus, resulting in a "telephone" meet in which each team competed in its own pool and the two sets of results were compared and scored to produce the final results. Gatz won the 200 breaststroke in 2:11.71 and added a second-place finish in the 200 butterfly, while Eckersley won the 1650 freestyle in 18:31.62. Other standouts for the Bishops included junior Brad Russell ((Delaware/Hayes), who finished second in both 1-meter diving events; junior Kevin Fahey (Delaware/Hayes), who was second in the 400 IM; junior Chris Potterton (Needham, Mass.), who was second in the 500 freestyle; junior Nathaniel Cook (Delaware/Hayes), who placed third in the 200 freestyle; and freshman Jesse Sheldon (Mansfield/Ontario), who was third in the 200 backstroke. |
