Ohio Wesleyan 98, Findlay 98

[ David Gatz ]Junior David Gatz (Delaware/Hayes) won 2 events for Ohio Wesleyan, but Findlay won the final event of the day to salvage a tie in a dual meet on Saturday in Findlay.

Gatz won the 200 freestyle in 1:49.71 and took the 100 breaststroke in :58.77 and added a third-place finish in the 100 butterfly.

Ohio Wesleyan's other first-place finish came form the 200 medley relay team of freshman Jesse Sheldon (Mansfield/Ontario), senior Brian Fahey (Delaware/Hayes), junior Nathaniel Cook (Delaware/Hayes), and freshman Michael Gatz (Delaware/Hayes), which won its event in 1:47.59.

Other standouts for the Bishops included junior Kevin Fahey (Delaware/Hayes), who recorded second-place finishes in the 200 IM, the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke; Sheldon, who was second in the 50 freestyle and the 100 backstroke; freshman Nathan Eckersley (Cleveland/Mayfield), who finished second in the 1000 freestyle and third in the 500 freestyle; freshman Evan Huddleson (Westerville/Central), who placed third in the 200 freestyle; Cook, who was third in the 50 freestyle; and junior Tony Wong (Cleveland/Cleveland Heights), who placed third in the 100 freestyle.

The Bishop 200 freestyle relay team of Huddleson, junior Andrew Sisson (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe), junior Chris Potterton (Needham, Mass.) and Wong finished second in its event.
