![]() at NCAC championship Feb. 12, 2009 After the first day of competition, Denison was leading the meet with 621 points to 393 1/2 for Kenyon. Wittenberg was in third place with 297 1/2 points, followed by Allegheny (207), Wabash (179), Wooster (168), Oberlin (132), Hiram (90), and Ohio Wesleyan (73). Russell finished eighth in the 3-meter diving event. Other standouts for the Bishops included junior David Gatz (Delaware/Hayes), who finished 16th in the 200 IM. The Bishop 400 medley relay team of freshman Jesse Sheldon (Mansfield/Ontario), junior Kevin Fahey (Delaware/Hayes), Gatz, and junior Chris Potterton (Needham, Mass.) finished ninth. The NCAC championship continues on Friday, with preliminaries beginning at 10 a.m. and finals commencing at 6:30 p.m. |
