[ David Gatz ]Junior David Gatz (Delaware/Hayes) and freshman Jesse Sheldon (Mansfield/Ontario) won an event and helped a relay team to another first-place finish to lead Ohio Wesleyan in a dual meet against North Coast Athletic Conference rival Wittenberg on Thursday in Springfield.

Gatz won the 200 IM in 2:04.62 and added a third in the 100 butterfly, while Sheldon won the 100 backstroke in :57.48 and placed third in the 50 freestyle.

The duo combined with junior Nathaniel Cook (Delaware/Hayes) and junior Kevin Fahey (Delaware/Hayes) to win the 200 medley relay in 1:42.21.

Senior Brian Fahey (Delaware/Hayes) claimed Ohio Wesleyan's other first-place finish, winning the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.35. He also finished third in the 100 freestyle.

Other standouts for the Bishops included Kevin Fahey, who placed second in the 200 freestyle and third in the 100 backstroke; junior Brad Russell (Delaware/Hayes), who was second in the 1-meter diving; Cook, who finished second in the 100 breaststroke; freshman Nathan Eckersley (Cleveland/Mayfield), who placed third in the 500 freestyle; and sophomore Dominic Schlabach (Delaware/Hayes), who finished third in the 200 breaststroke.
