[ David Gatz ]Junior David Gatz (Delaware/Hayes) won 2 events and helped a relay team to another first-place finish to lead Ohio Wesleyan in a dual meet against North Coast Athletic Conference foe Denison on Saturday in Granville.

Gatz won the 100 and 200 breaststrokes in respective times of :59.27 and 2:10.11.

He also teamed with freshman Jesse Sheldon (Mansfield/Ontario), junior Nathaniel Cook (Delaware/Hayes) and freshman Michael Gatz (Delaware/Hayes) to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:33.14.

Junior Kevin Fahey (Delaware/Hayes) and freshman Evan Huddleson (Westerville/Central) also won events for the Bishops, with Fahey taking the 400 IM in 4:31.33 and adding a second in the 50 freestyle, while Huddleson won the 100 butterfly in 1:05.60 and placed third in the 100 freestyle.

Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Nathan Eckersley (Cleveland/Mayfield), who placed second in the 500 freestyle and the 400 IM; junior Chris Potterton (Needham, Mass.), who was second in the 1000 freestyle and third in the 500 freestyle; junior Tony Wong (Cleveland/Cleveland Heights), who finished second in the 100 freestyle; Michael Gatz, who was second in the 100 butterfly; senior Brian Fahey (Delaware/Hayes), who finished third in the 200 freestyle; junior Usman Javaid (Lahore, Pakistan/Aitchison), who placed third in the 50 freestyle; Sheldon, who was third in the 200 backstroke; freshman Anthony Harper (Westerville/Central), who finished third in the 100 butterfly; and junior Andrew Sisson (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe), who was third in the 400 IM.
