[ Kevin Fahey ]Junior Kevin Fahey (Delaware/Hayes) won 3 events, while junior David Gatz (Delaware/Hayes) and freshman Jesse Sheldon (Mansfield/Ontario) each won 2 events and helped a relay team take another first-place finish as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Mount Union in a non-conference dual meet on Friday at Pfeiffer Natatorium.

Fahey won the 100 and 200 freestyles in respective times of :50.03 and 1:49.45 and took the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.18.

Gatz won the 100 IM in 2:03.78 and the 100 butterfly in :56.20, while Sheldon won the 50 free in :23.14 and the 100 backstroke in :57.21.

Gatz and Sheldon also teamed with junior Nathaniel Cook (Delaware/Hayes) and junior Chris Potterton (Needham, Mass.) to win the 400 medley relay in 3:48.20.

Junior Brad Russell (Delaware/Hayes) also won 2 events for Ohio Wesleyan, sweeping both 1-meter diving events with scores of 142.85 and 188.55.

Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Nathan Eckersley (Cleveland/Mayfield), who placed second in the 500 and 1000 freestyles; Cook, who was second in the 100 breaststroke and third in the 200 IM; senior Brian Fahey (Delaware/Hayes), who finished third in the 1000 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke; freshman Michael Gatz (Delaware/Hayes), who was third in the 50 freestyle; junior Usman Javaid (Lahore, Pakistan/Aitchison), who placed third in the 100 freestyle; and Potterton, who placed third in the 500 freestyle.

The Bishop 400 freestyle relay team of junior Tony Wong (Cleveland/Cleveland Heights), junior Andrew Sisson (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe), Michael Gatz and freshman Evan Huddleson (Westerville/Central) finished second.
