Junior Brandon Luttinger (Hingham, Mass.) recorded Ohio Wesleyan's only win in the Bishops' North Coast Athletic Conference West Division opener against Wabash on Saturday at Gordon Field House.

Luttinger won in straight sets at No. 3 singles, defeating Wabash's Zach Lowry by scores of 7-5, 6-1.

Freshman Kevin Kahn (New Albany) and sophomore Scott Hellberg (Sarver, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) each lost in split sets, with Kahn falling by scores of 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and Hellberg by scores of 5-7, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.

Wabash's Sean Clerget and Jay Horrey defeated Kahn and Hellberg at No. 1 doubles by an 8-6 score, while Luttinger and senior Daniel Thangarajah (Dublin/Scioto) fell to Wabash's Peter Gunderman and Ricky Ritter by an 8-5 count at No. 2 doubles.
