Sophomore Scott Hellberg (Sarver, Pa./Pittsburgh Central Catholic) was a double winner as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Earlham in a North Coast Athletic Conference West Division match on Wednesday in Richmond, Ind.

The match, which was forced indoors because of inclement weather, was played to decision.

Hellberg won in straight sets at No. 4 singles and teamed with freshman Kevin Kahn (New Albany) for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles.

Senior Daniel Thangarajah (Dublin/Scioto) and junior Brandon Luttinger (Hingham, Mass.) posted an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles and sophomore Zach Weaver (Westerville/South) and freshman Ryan Leslie (Grosse Pointe Park, Mich./Grosse Pointe South) were 8-2 winners at No. 3 doubles, giving the Bishops a sweep of doubles action.

Freshman Solomon Ryan (Pelham Manor, N.Y./Soundview) recorded a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles to give Ohio Wesleyan the decision and end the match.
