Bishops' Pleiman Named
NCAC Player of Week

DELAWARE, OHIO -- Ohio Wesleyan University junior Brent Pleiman (Russia) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 19, it was announced by the NCAC.

Pleiman, a post on the Battling Bishop men's basketball team, recorded career bests of 24 points and 11 rebounds in Ohio Wesleyan's 80-64 win over Wabash on Wednesday. He hit a jumper and 3 putbacks as the Bishops built an 8-4 lead, then scored on another offensive rebound to kick off a 12-0 run for the Bishops. Pleiman had 20 points during the first half alone. During the game, he went 10-for-17 from the field and 8 of his 11 boards came off the offensive glass.

Pleiman then scored to kick off a 13-2 second-half run that broke open an 84-70 win at Earlham on Saturday. He went 4-for-4 from the field to finish with 8 points.

On the week, he went 14-for-21 (.667) from the field and grabbed 17 rebounds.
