Bishops' Faris Named
NCAC Player of Week

DELAWARE, OHIO -- Ohio Wesleyan University junior Kyle Faris (Olmsted Falls) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 26, it was announced by the NCAC.

Faris, a member of the Battling Bishop men's track & field team, was named Field Event Performer of the Week. In a quadrangular meet hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Friday, Faris won the shot put and the weight throw with respective marks of 47-8 and 42-7.

The 2 wins helped Ohio Wesleyan win the meet with 359 1/2 points to 112 for second-place Otterbein, 107 for Capital and 59 1/2 for Kenyon. The meet was the first intercollegiate event in Gordon Field House since the facility's refurbishment late last year and was Ohio Wesleyan's first home indoor meet since Feb. 1, 2002.
