Bishops' Burke, Osborn Named
NCAC Players of Week

DELAWARE, OHIO -- Ohio Wesleyan University junior David Burke (Hudson) and senior Nathan Osborn (Edgerton) have been named North Coast Athletic Conference Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 16, it was announced by the NCAC.

Burke, a member of the Battling Bishop men's track & field team, was named Field Event Performer of the Week. He finished third in both the long jump and the triple jump at the All-Ohio Division III championship meet on Saturday, helping Ohio Wesleyan place second in the 20-team meet.

Osborn, also a member of the Battling Bishop men's track & field team, was named Sprints/Hurdles Performer of the Week. Osborn ran on a pair of school-record-setting relay teams at the All-Ohio meet. He anchored the 800-meter relay team which finished in a time of 1:29.54, breaking both the school record of 1:29.99 set in 2000 and the meet record of 1:30.04 set last year. Osborn also anchored the 1600-meter relay team which finished in a time of 3:25.28, breaking the school record of 3:26.12 set last year. Osborn also placed fourth in the 400-meter dash.
