Bishops' Seibel Named
NCAC Pitcher of Week

DELAWARE, OHIO -- Ohio Wesleyan University Ohio Wesleyan University junior Rachel Seibel (Johnstown/Johnstown-Monroe) has been named North Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 16, it was announced by the NCAC.

Seibel, a lefthanded pitcher on the Battling Bishop softball team, compiled a record of 5-0 on Ohio Wesleyan's spring trip last week. She pitched the first 3.0 innings with 6 strikeouts in a combined no-hitter against Carroll on Monday, then struck out 8 in a 6-hit shutout of New Jersey City on Tuesday. In a 9-inning defeat of Wheaton on Wednesday, Seibel fanned 10. Seibel then fired a 2-hitter against Curry on Friday, striking out 12. She finished the trip with an 8-inning complete-game victory over Bowdoin on Saturday, striking out 7. She compiled a 0.38 earned run average over the week, allowing 22 hits and 2 earned runs in 37.0 innings while striking out 44 and walking 5.
