Bishops' Cocumelli Named
NCAC Player of Week

DELAWARE, OHIO -- Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Christa Cocumelli (Dublin/Bishop Watterson) been named North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 22, it was announced by the NCAC.

Cocumelli, an attacker on the Bishop field hockey team, scored 2 goals as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Denison, 3-1, on Thursday. She scored what proved to be the deciding goal late in the first period, extending the Ohio Wesleyan lead to 2-0, and added a score early in the second half that gave the Bishops a 3-0 lead. The win raised the Bishops' record to 2-0 in the NCAC and knocked Denison from the ranks of conference unbeatens.
