Bishops' Greene, Stefanik Named
NCAC Players of Week

DELAWARE, OHIO -- Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Brian Greene (Beavercreek) and senior David Stefanik (Wooster) have been named North Coast Athletic Conference Players of the Week for the week of Oct. 20, it was announced by the NCAC.

Greene, a back on the Bishop men's soccer team, scored the game-winning goal in the first overtime period to lift Ohio Wesleyan to a 1-0 North Coast Athletic Conference win over Oberlin on Wednesday. He then scored the game-winning goal during the second half, giving Ohio Wesleyan a 1-0 North Coast Athletic Conference win over Wooster on Saturday in Wooster. The 2 wins raised Ohio Wesleyan's record to 6-0 in NCAC competition.

Stefanik, a member of the Bishop men's cross country team, led Ohio Wesleyan with an 87th-place finish at the Brooks Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Saturday. Stefanik finished 87th among individuals, completing the 8000-meter course in 25:57, as Ohio Wesleyan placed 19th in the 32-team field which included several ranked Division II and Division III teams.
