Bishops' Jianas Named
NCAC Player of Week

DELAWARE, OHIO -- Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Lilly Jianas (Shawnee Mission, Kan./Pembroke Hill) has been named a North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 27, it was announced by the NCAC.

Jianas, an attacker on the Battling Bishop field hockey team, scored a pair of second-half goals, including the game-winner, as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Kenyon, 3-2, in NCAC action on Wednesday. Jianas pounced on a loose ball inside the circle and sent a shot into the left side of the Kenyon cage with 8:39 left in regulation time. The win gave the Bishops a sweep of the season series with the defending conference tri-champions and kept Ohio Wesleyan in a tie for first place in the league.
