[ Rachel Seibel ]Junior lefthander Rachel Seibel (Johnstown/Johnstown-Monroe) fired a 6-hit shutout and junior shortstop Sarah Cook (Sidney/Fairlawn) drove in 3 runs to lift Ohio Wesleyan over New Jersey City on Tuesday in Fort Myers, Fla.

The Bishops took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first behind an RBI single from freshman infielder Ashley Allen (Richwood/North Union) and a 2-run double by Cook.

Cook added an RBI single in the third and scored on a passed ball later in the inning as Ohio Wesleyan increased its lead to 5-0.

The Bishops added 2 more runs in the fifth when Cook led off with a walk and later scored on a passed ball, and sophomore catcher Katelyn Dodson (Raleigh, N.C./Sanderson) delivered a pinch-hit RBI single to wrap up the scoring.

Seibel scattered 6 hits in working the complete game, extending her scoreless innings streak to 10.0.

Cook went 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI, Allen finished at 2-for-3 with 2 runs scored, and junior second baseman Emily Bradley (Columbus/Upper Arlington) was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
