Junior third baseman Rita Cook (Sidney/Fairlawn) and junior outfielder Krystle Skaziak (Dublin/Scioto) drove in 2 runs apiece to lift Ohio Wesleyan over North Park in non-conference play on Wednesday in Fort Myers, Fla.

The Bishops took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second when sophomore catcher Sarah Truchan (Westfield Center/Brunswick) walked and Walker followed with a single, with both runners eventually scoring on a Skaziak base hit.

Ohio Wesleyan added 3 runs in the sixth. Junior shortstop Sarah Cook (Sidney/Fairlawn) singled, and sophomore shortstop Kaylie Titus (East Hampton, N.Y.) followed with a bunt, with all hands safe when the Vikings elected to try to force Sarah Cook at second base. Truchan followed with an RBI single and Rita Cook plated 2 more runs with a pinch-hit double for a 5-0 Bishop lead.

North Park averted the shutout with a run in the bottom of the sixth, but the Bishops got that run back on Titus's RBI single in the top of the seventh.

Sarah Cook went 3-for-4 for Ohio Wesleyan, while junior second baseman Devon Walker (Baltimore/Watkins Memorial), freshman third baseman Ashley Allen (Richwood/North Union), and freshman catcher Nikka Bonamase (Canfield/Youngstown Ursuline) each went 1-for-2.

Freshman righthander Lauren McIntire (Marysville/Buckeye Valley) blanked the Vikings over the first 5.0 innings to collect the win.
