Sophomore middle hitter Lainey Kekic (Canfield/Western Reserve) and sophomore outside hitter Alexa Bean (Columbus/Upper Arlington) led the Bishops at the Mid-Month Madness tournament, hosted by Capital University on Friday in Columbus.

Albion defeated Ohio Wesleyan in the Bishops' first match of the day, winning by scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-22. The Bishops faced Nazareth (N.Y.) in their second match of the day and were defeated by scores of 25-11, 25-17, 25-15.

Kekic led the Bishops with 6 kills, 3 block assists and 19 digs, while senior middle hitter Janna Dagley (Beavercreek) added 5 kills against Albion. Sophomore setter Sarah Marshall (Lima/Senior) had 16 assists and junior libero Katie Schlaudt (Holland, Mich.) added 16 digs.

Bean sparked the Ohio Wesleyan offense with 8 kills against Nazareth. Marshall had 12 assists, and freshman outside hitter Sara Morris (Point White Mountain, Alaska/Mt. Edgecumbe) led the Bishops with 13 digs.
