Sophomore outside hitter Sam Owen (Westerly, R.I./The Prout School) led the Ohio Wesleyan offense with 9 kills in a North Coast Athletic Conference match against Wittenberg on Wednesday in Springfield.

Wittenberg defeated the Bishops by scores of 25-13, 25-14, 25-19.

Owen collected 9 kills, while sophomore outside hitter Alexa Bean (Columbus/Upper Arlington) and sophomore middle hitter Lainey Kekic (Canfield/Western Reserve) had 3 kills.

Sophomore setter Sarah Marshall (Lima/Senior) had 13 assists in directing the Bishop offense.

Bean and senior middle hitter Janna Dagley (Beavercreek) had 2 blocks apiece in highlighting the Bishop defense. Junior libero Katie Schlaudt (Holland, Mich.) led the Bishops with 13 digs.
