Sophomore outside hitter Alexa Bean (Columbus/Upper Arlington) led a balanced Ohio Wesleyan offense, but the Bishops lost a pair of matches on Saturday at Hiram.

In the opener, Hiram defeated Ohio Wesleyan in a North Coast Athletic Conference match by scores of 25-16, 25-12, 25-14. Wilmington then defeated Ohio Wesleyan in a non-conference match, winning by scores of 25-14, 25-22, 16-25, 25-16.

Sophomore outside hitter Sam Owen (Westerly, R.I./The Prout School) had a team-high 7 kills against Hiram, while Bean finished with 6 kills and shared the team lead with 12 digs, and sophomore outside hitter Lainey Kekic (Canfield/Western Reserve) added 4 kills.

Sophomore setter Sarah Marshall (Lima/Senior) contributed 19 assists and shared the team lead with 12 digs.

Against Wilmington, Bean piled up 17 kills and added 13 digs. Owen added 9 kills and senior middle hitter Janna Dagley (Beavercreek) had 8 kills and led the Bishops with 2 blocks.

Marshall compiled 36 assists and junior libero Katie Schlaudt (Holland, Mich.) had a team-high 21 digs.
