[ Kayla Gordon ]Sophomore post Kayla Gordon (St. Louis, Mo./Mehlville) buried a pair of 3-pointers and sophomore wing Tyler Cordell (Columbus/St. Francis DeSales) hit another during a 14-0 run that gave Ohio Wesleyan the lead, but Anderson erased that deficit and pulled away during the second half to defeat the Bishops in the consolation game of the Anderson Tip-Off Tournament, on Saturday in Anderson, Ind.

Ohio Wesleyan trailed, 6-4, before Cordell scored to tie the game, then Gordon and Cordell knocked down 3-pointers less than a minute apart for a 12-6 Bishop lead. Neither team led by more than 5 points well into the second half. Gordon converted a 3-point play to tie the contest at 47-47 midway through the period, but Anderson countered with a 7-2 run capped by a 3-point play from Mel Hawthorne to take the lead for good.
