The Falcons jumped to an early 1-0 lead with a goal right off the opening draw, and after Ohio Wesleyan rallied to take a 3-1 lead, Fitchburg answered with 3 straight goals, the latter 2 on free-position shots by Tori D'Amato, to take a 4-3 lead with 19:30 left in the first half.

Rohr then found Mudge for a goal before Mavian finished off the first-half run with consecutive goals that gave the Bishops a 13-7 lead at the break.

After freshman attacker Lena Knofler (Portland, Ore./St. Mary's Academy) and Burns traded goals to open the second half, the Bishops reeled off 4 consecutive goals to put the game out of reach, with Mudge scoring twice and Rohr and freshman midfielder Kelsey Countryman (Fenton, Mo./Rockwood Summit) adding single goals during that run.
