![]() Ohio Wesleyan 2, Pitt-Bradford 0 Aug. 29, 2008 The win moves Ohio Wesleyan into Saturday's tournament championship game, where the Battling Bishops will take on host St. John Fisher, a 2-0 winner over Rhode Island College in Friday's other first-round matchup. Coss gave the Bishops a 1-0 lead when she ripped a 23-yard rocket into the Panther goal in the 30th minute. Krebsbach added an insurance goal in the 61st minute, taking a pass from junior defender Megan Goodrich (Seven Hills/Laurel School) and finishing the chance. Ohio Wesleyan outshot Pitt-Bradford, 31-4. Sophomore Carly Topper (Novi, Mich./Greenhills), making her collegiate debut in goal, had 2 saves in completing the shutout. Autumn Zigarski finished with 14 saves for the Panthers. Saturday's championship game will mark the first-ever meeting between St. John Fisher and Ohio Wesleyan in women's soccer. |
