Freshman defender Addie Bishop (Grand Rapids/Notre Dame Academy) and freshman midfielder Lindsey Patton (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) scored to wipe out a 2-0 deficit and send the game into overtime, but the extra sessions could not provide a winner, and Ohio Wesleyan and DePauw played to a tie in non-conference action on Saturday in Greencastle, Ind.
The Tigers jumped to a 1-0 lead on Lauren Hannan's goal in the fifth minute, and increased the margin to 2-0 when Kristen Ellis scored in the waning minutes of the first half.
Ohio Wesleyan came back with Bishop's goal in the opening minutes of the second half, and evened the game when Patton scored with 31:35 left in regulation time.
DePauw outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 25-9. Sophomore Carly Topper (Novi, Mich./Greenhills) had a season-high 18 saves in the Bishop goal. Brooke Shipley had 6 saves in the Tiger cage.
