![]() Messiah 7, Ohio Wesleyan 1 Sept. 20, 2008 Naeher gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 13th minute, then sent a through ball to Haqq, who finished off the chance to make it 2-0 in the 18th minute. Naeher would set up Messiah's next 2 goals as well, connecting with Rachel Horning midway through the first half and with Amy Horst in the 28th minute. Haqq scored her second goal of the game early in the second half, and Erin Hench followed with a goal exactly 10 minutes later to increase the Falcon lead to 6-0. The Bishops got on the scoreboard in the 68th minute on an own goal by the Falcons. Messiah outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 30-5. Sophomore Laura VanHoey (Rochester, Mich.) made 3 saves in 51-plus minutes and sophomore Ella Massie-Schuh (New York, N.Y./Brearley School) had 6 saves in 38-plus minutes in the Bishop goal. Brindley Beckwith had 3 saves for Messiah. |
