[ Jenny Howe ] Freshman midfielder Jenny Howe (Newton, Mass./South) scored the game-winning goal late in the first half to lift Ohio Wesleyan over Wooster in North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday in Wooster.

The win kept the Bishops undefeated in NCAC competition, raising Ohio Wesleyan's record to 4-0-1 in the league.

Howe beat Wooster keeper Alix Hoffman with a shot with 13:14 left in the first half, with freshman midfielder Makinzie Krebsbach (Vadnais Heights, Minn./Totino-Grace) credited with an assist on the play.

The Scots, limited to 1 shot during the first half, turned up their offensive attack during the second half, collecting 13 shots during the period, but the Bishop defense was equal to the task, protecting the lead through the final 45 minutes.

Wooster outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 14-10. Sophomore Laura VanHoey (Rochester, Mich.) had 6 saves in the Bishop goal, while Hoffman had 4 saves for Wooster.
