![]() Ohio Wesleyan 2, Mount St. Joseph 1 Oct. 21, 2008 The Bishops had taken a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute when senior forward Allie Cozzone (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) sent a pass ahead to freshman midfielder Makinzie Krebsbach (Vadnais Heights, Minn./Totino-Grace), who ran the ball into the box and fired a shot past Lion keeper Kelly Bare. Mount St. Joseph had a chance to tie the game later in the first half when forward Beth Schuermann tried to loft a shot over Bishop keeper Laura VanHoey (Rochester, Mich.), but VanHoey made the save near the right post. Ohio Wesleyan increased its lead to 2-0 early in the second half as senior forward Michelle Corbett (Dublin/Scioto) had the ball inside the Mount St. Joseph penalty area, but the Lion defense broke up the play before Corbett could get off a shot.
