Nov. 1, 2008

[ Makinzie Krebsbach ] Freshman forward Makinzie Krebsbach (Vadnais Heights, Minn./Totino-Grace) scored to bring Ohio Wesleyan within 2-1, but Earlham hung on to defeat the Bishops in North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday in Richmond, Ind.

The Quakers extended the lead to 2-0 when Hillary Carter scored in the 53rd minute, with Daskovsky credited with an assist on the play.

Krebsbach cut the deficit to 2-1 with an unassisted goal with 11:09 left in regulation time, but the Bishops were unable to get the tying goal past Quaker keeper Megan Holthaus.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Earlham, 19-16. Sophomore Laura VanHoey (Rochester, Mich.) finished with 8 saves in the Bishop goal. Holthaus finished with 10 saves for Earlham.
