Junior Erin Hanahan (Madison/Perry) and freshman Marina Metzler (Columbia, Md./Hammond) won events for Ohio Wesleyan as the Bishops outlasted Findlay in a dual meet on Saturday in Findlay.
Hanahan won the 1-meter diving event with a score of 199.73 and added a second in the 3-meter diving, while Metzler won the 100 butterfly in 1:03.14 and finished third in the 50 freestyle.
Ohio Wesleyan's other first-place finish came from the 200 medley relay team of freshman Ali Russ (Shaker Heights), freshman Karen Lee (Hong Kong, China/Diocesan Girls' School), senior Megan Downing (Mentor/Gilmour Academy), and junior Kendra Klossner (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley), which won its event in 2:02.09.
Other standouts for the Bishops included Klossner, who finished second in the 200 freestyle and the 100 backstroke; freshman Kirstin Mowry (Centerville), who posted seconds in the 50 and 100 freestyles; Downing, who was second in the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke; Russ, who finished second in the 500 freestyle and third in the 200 freestyle; sophomore Brenna Irrer (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer), who placed second in the 1000 freestyle; freshman Morgan Canup (Milford, Mich.), who finished second in the 1-meter diving event; freshman Randi Savage (Delaware/Hayes), who was third in the 100 butterfly; senior Katie Keleshian (Richmond Heights/Regina), who placed third in the 100 backstroke; senior Tarenne Ferenchak (Haddonfield, N.J.), who finished third in the 500 freestyle; and Lee, who was third in the 100 breaststroke.
The Bishop 200 freestyle relay team of freshman Rachel Schlosser (Euclid), freshman Holly Gilbert (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Kennedy), Irrer, and sophomore Marisa Obuchowski (Baltimore, Md./Pikesville) finished second in its event.
