Wittenberg 147, Ohio Wesleyan 91

[ Erin Hanahan ]Junior Erin Hanahan (Madison/Perry) and freshman Karen Lee (Hong Kong, China/Diocesan Girls' School) won events to lead Ohio Wesleyan in a dual meet against North Coast Athletic Conference foe Wittenberg on Thursday in Springfield.

Hanahan won the 3-meter diving event with a score of 179.90 and added a second in the 1-meter diving, while Lee won the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.23.

The Bishop 200 freestyle relay team of freshman Ali Russ (Shaker Heights), senior Katie Keleshian (Richmond Heights/Regina), freshman Rachel Schlosser (Euclid) and junior Kendra Klossner (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) won its event in 1:49.55.

Other standouts for the Bishops included Russ, who finished second in the 200 freestyle; freshman Marina Metzler (Columbia, Md./Hammond), who was second in the 100 butterfly; Keleshian, who was second in the 100 backstroke; sophomore Brenna Irrer (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer), who placed second in the 500 freestyle; senior Megan Downing (Mentor/Gilmour Academy), who finished second in the 100 breaststroke; freshman Kirstin Mowry (Centerville), who was third in the 200 IM and the 100 freestyle; senior Tarenne Ferenchak (Haddonfield, N.J.), who finished third in the 1000 freestyle; Klossner, who placed third in the 50 freestyle; freshman Jill Simpson (Westerville/North), who was third in the 100 backstroke; and freshman Randi Savage (Delaware/Hayes), who finished third in the 100 breaststroke.

The Ohio Wesleyan 200 medley relay team of Simpson, Downing, Metzler and Mowry finished second.
