Sophomore Pam Quigney (Mentor) was a double winner as Ohio Wesleyan edged Upper Iowa in a non-conference match on Wednesday in Hilton Head, S.C.

Quigney recorded a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 5 singles and combined with freshman Mackenzie Conway (Marion/Pleasant) for an 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles.

Freshman Amber Schneider (Shelburne, Vt./Rice) came back after losing the first set at No. 1 singles to take the second set and win the third set, 13-11, in a super tiebreaker.

Freshman Emily Kiourtsis (Pickerington/North) won in straight sets at No. 2 singles, defeating her Peacock opponent by scores of 7-5, 6-3.

Freshman Becky Simon (Hilliard/Darby) also recovered from losing the first set to win the second set and a super tiebreaker for a victory at No. 3 singles.
