[ Pam Quigney ]Sophomore Pam Quigney (Mentor) was a double winner, helping Ohio Wesleyan edge Allegheny in a non-divisional matchup of North Coast Athletic Conference members on Saturday at the OWU Tennis Centre.

Quigney, making her season debut at No. 2 singles, won in straight sets by scores of 6-2, 6-3. She combined with freshman Mackenzie Conway (Marion/Pleasant) for an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.

Freshman Amber Schneider (Shelburne, Vt./Rice) and freshman Emily Kiourtsis (Pickerington/North) won at No. 1 doubles by a score of 8-6.

Freshman Becky Simon (Hilliard/Darby) posted a crucial win at No. 4 singles, coming back after losing the first set, 6-1, to take the second set by a similar 6-1 margin and then win a super tiebreaker by a score of 10-7 for the match. Simon and junior Mollie Campbell (Burlington, Vt.) fell in a marathon at No. 2 doubles by scores of 9-8 (7-3).

Senior Kaitlin Moran (Chatham, N.J.) finished off the Ohio Wesleyan scoring with a straight-set win at No. 6 singles.
