Senior Jessica Merrill (Columbia Station/Columbia) recorded Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish at the Kenyon Invitational on Friday in Gambier.

The meet, which included competitors from Charleston, Kenyon, Ohio Wesleyan, Walsh, Westminster, and Wooster, was not scored.

Merrill placed second in the triple jump and fifth in the 55-meter hurdles.

Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Laura Packard (Mount Vernon), who placed fourth in the 55-meter hurdles; junior Amber Alegria (Tucson, Ariz./Salpointe Catholic), who was fourth in the 400-meter dash; and freshman Sam Smyth (Falmouth, Maine), who placed fourth in the shot put.
