Ohio Wesleyan and Allegheny were tied for third place with 309 strokes, followed by Wooster (317), Kenyon (328), Denison (343), and Hiram (368). The 36-hole event is the first of 4 regular-season tournaments which count toward determining the North Coast Athletic Conference's automatic qualifer for the NCAA Division III championships. Harman was tied for fourth place among individuals with a 73. Wittenberg's Ricky Boerner was leading the field with a 70, followed by Wabash's Sam Russell at 71 and Wittenberg's Ben Smith with a 72. Senior Jesse Chiero (Westerville/South) carded a 78, sophomore Caleb Chiero (Westerville/Central) and senior Peter Joyce (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) each had a 79, and sophomore Nate Fridley (Sidney/Lehman Catholic) shot an 85. Ohio Wesleyan players competing as individuals included junior Scott Morris (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East), who shot a 78; junior Thomas Fox (Galion) and freshman Mark Fischer (Garden City, N.Y.), each of whom had a 79; and senior Michael Sarap (Cambridge), who carded an 80.
