[ Sam Striler ]Senior forward Sam Striler (St. Louis, Mo./Country Day) scored late in the first half to give 15th-ranked Ohio Wesleyan a 1-0 lead, and the Bishops added a pair of second-half goals on the way to a non-conference win over Capital on Tuesday in Columbus.

Striler put the Bishops ahead to stay by knocking home a rebound goal with 1:40 left in the first half.

The Ohio Wesleyan defense took over from there, limiting Capital to 3 shots -- none on goal -- during the second half.

Meanwhile, the Bishops pulled away as senior midfielder Eric Francis (Alliance/Marlington) scored courtesy of an assist by senior midfielder Blake Pifer (Fleming/Ada) in the 71st minute, then sophomore midfielder Dylan Stone (Easton, Conn./Barlow) scored in the 82nd minute, with junior forward Tyler Wall (Columbus/Upper Arlington) credited with an assist on the play.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Capital, 22-10. Senior Richard Ott (Norwalk) finished with 2 saves in completing the shutout in the Ohio Wesleyan goal. Justin Bultman made 8 saves for Capital.
