8th of 13 at Calvin Invitational

Sophomore Evan Hitchcock (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) led the Bishops at the Calvin Invitational, hosted by Calvin College on Saturday in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Allegheny won the meet with 48 points to 83 for the host Knights. Ohio Northern was third with 95 poitns, followed by Aquinas (105), Cornerstone (144), Spring Arbor (181), Case Reserve (185), Ohio Wesleyan (194), and Indiana Tech (215). Baldwin-Wallace rounded out the top 10 teams with 250 points, followed by Alma (320), Bethel (353), and Olivet (444).

Hitchcock completed the 8000-meter course in 25:59.0, finishing 27th among individuals.

Sophomore Sharif Kronemer (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) placed 35th in 26:11.2, sophomore Kale Booher (Covington/Newton) was 53rd in 26:34.3, junior Cody Morrison (Caldwell) finished 55th in 26:37.3, and junior John Thatcher (Centerburg) completed the Bishop scoring with a 62nd-place finish in 26:41.5.

Senior Christian Schlabach (Wooster/Triway) placed 73rd in 26:54.1 and freshman Nathan Kafity (Huron/Lake Ridge Academy) was 78th in 26:57.9.
