4th of 25 at Gettysburg Invitational

Sophomore Sharif Kronemer (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) led Ohio Wesleyan at the Gettysburg Invitational, hosted by Gettysburg College on Saturday in Gettysburg, Pa.

Shippensburg won the meet with 26 points to 97 for Susquehanna. Gettysburg was third with 107 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (146), Messiah (166), Coast Guard (187), Salisbury (189), Denison (198), and Bridgewater (300). Fellow North Coast Athletic Conference member Earlham also was represented in the meet, finishing 21st with 571 points.

Kronemer completed the 8000-meter course in 27:05.20, finishing 17th among individuals.

Sophomore Kale Booher (Covington/Newton) placed 19th in 27:08.66, sophomore Evan Hitchcock (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) was 26th in 27:22.94, sophomore Kyle Lemke (Loudonville) finished 47th in 27:54.58, and freshman Nathan Kafity (Huron/Lake Ridge Academy) wrapped up the Ohio Wesleyan scoring with a 60th-place finish in 28:10.01.

Junior Cody Morrison (Caldwell) was 75th in 28:28.85, and senior Christian Schlabach (Wooster/Triway) placed 85th in 28:41.87.
