4th of 10 at NCAC championship

Sophomore Sharif Kronemer (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook), sophomore Evan Hitchcock (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern), and sophomore Kale Booher (Covington/Newton) won All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in leading the Bishops at the NCAC championship meet, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday at Liberty Park in Powell, Ohio.

Allegheny had 5 of the top 9 individual finishers to win the meet with a total of 25 points. Wabash was second with 82 points, with Oberlin placing third with 85 points and Ohio Wesleyan in fourth place with 103 points. Denison placed fifth with 104 points, followed by Kenyon (161), Wooster (189), Wittenberg (218), Earlham (264), and Hiram (283).

Kronemer completed the 8000-meter course in 27:03.5, finishing 12th among individuals to earn second-team All-NCAC laurels.

Hitchcock finished 17th in 27:19.0, with Booher right behind in 18th place in 27:20.9. Both runners were honorable mention All-NCAC selections.

Sophomore Kyle Lemke (Loudonville) placed 30th in 27:56.3, and junior Cody Morrison (Caldwell) completed the Ohio Wesleyan scoring with a 32nd-place finish in 27:58.6.

Senior Christian Schlabach (Wooster/Triway) placed 44th in 28:31.7 and freshman Tyler Tomazic (Medina/Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary) was 58th in 29:04.1.
