[ Lainey Kekic ]Junior middle hitter Lainey Kekic (Canfield/Western Reserve), freshman outside hitter Meg Weissenberger (Toledo/Central Catholic), and senior outside hitter Kristin Kovach (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) led the Ohio Wesleyan offense, but Wooster outlasted the Bishops in taking a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday in Wooster.

The Fighting Scots won the match by scores of 25-22, 25-27, 25-18, 25-21.

In Saturday's second match, Case Reserve defeated the Bishops by scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-16.

Kovach led the balanced Ohio Wesleyan attack with 14 kills, with Weissenberger adding 12 kills, Kekic recording 11, and freshman middle hitter Ashley Haynes (Norton) adding a season-high 9 kills.

Junior setter Sarah Marshall (Lima/Senior) collected 42 assists, her second-highest single-match total of the season.

Defensive standouts for the Bishops included junior outside hitter Alexa Bean (Columbus/Upper Arlington) with a season-high 40 digs, along with Kekic and Marshall, who shared the team lead with 2 block assists apiece.

Against Case Reserve, Weissenberger led the Bishops with 9 kills, with Kekic kicking in 6 kills. Marshall had 17 assists.

Defensively, Bean led the way with 22 digs and Weissenberger added 16 digs.
