Ohio Wesleyan 2, Kenyon 1

[ Jessie Huschart ]Freshman midfielder Jessie Huschart (Columbus/Hilliard Davidson) scored the game-winning goal midway through the second half to lift Ohio Wesleyan to a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Kenyon on Tuesday in Gambier.

With the score tied at 1-1, Huschart scored an unassisted goal in the 65th minute, and the Bishop defense protected the lead, withstanding 9 Kenyon shots during the final period.

Ohio Wesleyan had taken a 1-0 lead when sophomore forward Makinzie Krebsbach (Vadnais Heights, Minn./Totino-Grace) tallied in the 36th minute, her first goal of the season.

Kenyon evened the game early in the second half when Stefanie Couchman converted a penalty kick with 41:15 left in regulation time.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Kenyon, 16-6. Freshman Margot Klepetko (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y./Hastings) made 4 saves for the Bishops, all during the second half. Kat Powers finished with 4 saves for the Ladies.
